Located on beautiful Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, The Right Place Pottery specializes in personalized plates, mugs, bowls, bells, tea sets, and more.

In the summertime, from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend, we provide a "Wheel Experience".
Yes, you can have the fun of trying the potter's wheel for yourself!

The Right Place Pottery is run by Trudy and Wally Erwin.  Trudy has been in the pottery making business for over 47 years.

She and her mother bought Orcas Island Pottery in 1953 and she has been making pottery with the help of her husband and many students ever since.  In 1977 they opened The Right Place Pottery, while her daughter and grandson carry forth at Orcas Island Pottery.

In the summertime, from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend, we provide a "Wheel Experience".  You can have the fun of trying the potter's wheel for yourself.

The youngest person to try was 3 and the oldest was 97.  Do you fit in there?  Come and try!  Just $5 per person.

We also have fish, totem poles, bears, kitties, and many other pieces you can paint.

A good family activity!

Some people like to fire quickly with RAKU.  They are amazed at the beautiful rainbow colors.
